Amid Lung Cancer Battle, Dolph Lundgren, 65, Marries Emma Krokdal, 27, In Mykonos
Expendables actor Dolph Lundgren, 65, married Emma Krokdal, 27, in a private ceremony in Mykonos, Greece, last week.
In May, the Swedish actor, who appeared in Rocky IV and Creed II, revealed his eight-year battle with lung cancer and said his doctor estimated he had two more years left to live.
“We chose to celebrate our love by getting married at our villa in Mykonos with family and a few close friends,” Lundgren told People. “With both Covid and a long road of challenging medical treatments, we’ve had to push our marriage plans many times.”
“We felt it was finally the right time to celebrate love, life and happiness — in the land of the Gods,” he added.
The newlyweds met at a fitness club in California in 2019, which is assumed to also be the year they began dating. They became public in January 2020 when they attended the Cana Dorada Film and Music Festival in the Dominican Republic, and five months later, they got engaged.
Addressing their nearly 40-year age gap, Lundgren told Graham Bensinger on In Depth With Graham Bensinger that he had “been with people that are twice her age [who are] less mature than she is.”

“I feel like Emma is very mature for her age, for sure,” the 65-year-old said. “She’s had an interesting life. She came over here from a small town in Norway. She was married here and she went through a difficult divorce and went through a lot of stuff that most young people her age don’t have to deal with.”
This is Lundgren’s third marriage. His first marriage was to Peri Momm in 1991 and lasted only one year. His second marriage was to interior designer Anette Qviberg, with whom he shares two daughters, Ida, 27, and Greta, 21. Lundgren and Qviberg divorced in 2011 after 17 years of marriage.
