Meghan Markle appeared at the 2024 Paley Honors Fall Gala to support her friend, Tyler Perry. The Paley Honors Tribute to Perry was announced in July, and it was disclosed then that Markle and Prince Harry would be part of the crew leading the celebrations.
The couple were listed as tribute chairs for the Gala, alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Gayle King, Kerry Washington and more.
Even though Harry had been scheduled to attend, he did not appear alongside his wife at the event—he was in New York City for his appearance at The New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit.
During this summit, he shut down rumors that his relationship with Markle was strained, which were provoked by their recent separate public appearances.
The Duchess of Sussex attended the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills gala, wearing a floor-length black dress and strappy black heels.
She wore her brown hair in a loose low bun, as well as minimal eye makeup and light pink lipstick.
Perry, the godfather to Markle and Harry’s 3-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, was honored with the Paley Honors Award, the organization’s highest distinction.
Markle smiled as she walked the red carpet and embraced Perry when they caught up to one another.
Markle later spoke with other guests and gladly took selfies on the way to her table, where she sat with Perry and Washington.
In early November, Harry and Markle allegedly spent $4.7 million on a soon-to-be-built house on the 722-acre CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club in Portugal. The beachfront property is in the small town of Melides, 81 miles south of Lisbon.
This section of Portugal was nicknamed “The Hamptons of Portugal” because of the influx of well-known people buying property, including George Clooney and Sharon Stone.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the Duke and Duchess would not be joining the Royal Family for Christmas at Sandringham this year.
Instead, they will celebrate the holidays in the U.S. with their children.
