The American Music Awards 2016 nominations were announced yesterday live on Good Morning America by singers Joe Jonas and Rachel Platten.
Rapper Drake is up for a whopping 13 awards, the most in AMA history. He beats Michael Jackson’s pervious record of 11. He is followed by Rihanna, earning seven, and then Adele and Justin Bieber with five each.
If Drake wins just one of the 13 he is up for, he will take home his first ever AMA.
The American Music Awards will air on ABC on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8 pm.
