Disney Star Amanda Bynes Shares Weight Loss Plan After Gaining 20 Pounds From A Battle With Depression
After a 20-pound weight gain, actress Amanda Bynes claimed she is ready to work toward a new start.
She posted on her Instagram story about her battle with depression and how it led to significant weight gain, saying that she was doing much better and has “learned to do opposite action when I don’t feel like working out or eating clean.”
Bynes says she wants to cut her 162-pound body to a slim 110.
Bynes also claimed that she had abused Adderall, a stimulant drug used to treat ADHD and other focus-related disorders. She used it to maintain a constant weight.
The former child star of The Amanda Show, a Disney Channel hit, claimed that she heard people were using it to keep their weight down, and she was intrigued by it. “They were talking about how women were taking it to stay thin. I was like, ‘Well, I have to get my hands on that,'” she told Paper magazine in 2018.
She also revealed that she got a prescription after visiting “a psychiatrist and faking the symptoms of ADD.”
Bynes said that she would chew up tablets of Adderall while on the set of Hall Pass.
She said she “made many mistakes, but I wasn’t fired. I did leave… it was definitely completely unprofessional of me to walk off and leave them stranded when they’d spent so much money on a set and crew and camera equipment and everything.”
Bynes has had a rocky battle with mental health throughout the years, including a naked walk through the streets of Los Angeles. She has visited a mental facility in recent years to try to get a handle on it. She was at the facility for three weeks before her release.
She has also played around with her physical appearance with an eyelid surgery to boost her self-confidence. She has also dyed her hair back and forth from jet black to platinum blonde.
