Amanda Bynes Makes Rare Public Appearance At Fashion Launch Party

Amanda Bynes stepped out to attend the Michael Costello and Style PR Capsule Collection launch party in Los Angeles Thursday – marking her first public appearance in some time.

Bynes, 29, hit the town in an off-white crocheted dress that featured sheer panels. She completed the look for her rare public appearance with black stilettos and oversized sunglasses. The She’s the Man actress wore her long blond locks down and parted to the side.

Inside the fashion event, Bynes chatted with pregnant TV host Diana Madison. Bynes was seen rubbing Madison’s belly and telling her, “Oh, my sister is about to give birth in a week! She’s having a baby girl,” according to Us Weekly.

Prior to Thursday, the last event Bynes attended was a Nylon magazine party in New York in October 2014. Her last official red carpet was in 2011 at the MTV Movie Awards.

Bynes was seen out and about earlier this year dining at Hollywood hotspot Craig’s. At the time, her lawyer David Esquibias said that the former Nickelodeon star was much improved following her spate of headline-making incidents and subsequent bipolar diagnosis.

“Amanda is doing great,” Esquibias told Us. “She appreciates all of the love and support she receives from family, friends and fans.”
