Former actress Amanda Bynes, 37, has left a mental health facility after a three-week stay. This short stint at the facility was provoked by recent alarming instances of erratic behavior.
The former child star had been working with the facility’s staff to determine the right time for her departure from the hospital. Her attendance at the mental health facility had not been mandatory, as she was allowed to leave at any time.

To ensure she follows the course of the progress she made while being treated, Bynes will now enter an outpatient treatment program.
Reportedly, she will be returning to her own home at this time. Doctors hope that picking back up her normal routines will allow her to carry out the rest of her treatment in peace.
Prior to her visit, the former Nickelodeon star stopped a car while fully nude and alone, informed the driver that she was “coming down from a psychotic episode” and dialed 911.
This tumultuous turn of events occurred a year after the former actress, well-known for her recent public troubles, ended an eight-year conservatorship with her parents. At the time of its termination, Bynes’ parents had supported the decision to end it.
The initial agreement was established in 2013 when she was placed under involuntary commitment following several encounters with the law since 2012. This included being involved in two hit-and-run incidents and a DUI charge.
In 2013, she was also arrested on allegations of discarding a bong from the window of her apartment situated on the 36th floor in Manhattan.
Last summer, Bynes ended her two-year-long relationship with Paul Michael, after their engagement had been called off.
Following her performance in Easy A in 2010, Bynes has not pursued any acting opportunities. Prior to this, she had established herself as a renowned child actress, having appeared on All That and its subsequent spinoff The Amanda Show.
However, in 2010, Bynes quit acting for good, saying in a now-deleted Twitter account that “being an actress isn’t as fun as it may seem.”
