Amanda Bynes Caught Allegedly Shoplifting From Barneys

On the heels of her engagement announcement, Amanda Bynes has gotten herself in the news again, this time for allegedy shoplifting from the upscale clothing store Barneys. According to security at the Madison Avenue retailer, Bynes had to be escorted back into the store at around 2:30 p.m. for leaving without paying for a $200 hat. When pressed, she said she had forgotten she was wearing the hat, and had quickly raced out of the store to avoid a throng of pursuing fans.

Bynes is currently on a three-year probation following her latest DUI arrest, though this incident may not be a violation. While the police were initially called to the scene, Barneys New York staff called them off when Bynes signed no-trespass agreement and promised to never return to the store. Barneys also followed it up by banning her outright.

Error happened.
