Alison Brie wears a Thai Nguyen Atelier mini-dress to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Banquet on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old actress brought out her inner flapper in the plunging black and gold sequined dress. The dress featured a fun fringe running from her thigh to below her knee, and the actress clearly enjoyed wearing the piece. “Just a casual Wednesday night for me, NBD,” Brie joked on Instagram.

Brie paired the outfit with strappy black sandal heels. Christina Ehrlich styled the look for Brie.

Brie currently stars as Ruth “Zoya the Destroya” Wilder on Netflix original series GLOW, about the 1980s syndicated women’s professional wrestling circuit. GLOW stands for the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. At first, the casting directors didn’t want to cast Brie because she already had too many known roles under her belt. But she proved herself to them and showed that she could be what they needed her to be. “It was amazing to get the opportunity to prove myself the way that Ruth also does,” she told Indiewire of the audition process. “But I also had this dream criteria in my head where I was ready to sign off on certain shows that checked like two of the six boxes, and I was like ‘Two whole boxes!’ And then GLOW came in, and it really did check every box.”
