Alexander Skarsgard Presents At MTV Movie Awards In Underwear

Alexander Skarsgard strutted out onstage in his underwear during the MTV Movie Awards Saturday night in Burbank, Calif.

Skarsgard caused quite a stir at the event held at Warner Bros. Studios when he came out to present an award in a tuxedo minus the pants, revealing the True Blood star’s underwear.

“No pants. Me, Tarzan! Gotta give the fans a little skin,” said Skarsgard, who is playing Tarzan in the upcoming The Legend of Tarzan film. “I was going to go shirtless, but then someone told me that Zac Efron did that two years ago here.”

Samuel L. Jackson, who was presenting alongside Skarsgard, chimed in of Efron’s memorable shirtless appearance in 2014, “It was a historic moment.”

Skarsgard held firm in his belief that his pants-less look was on par with Efron’s shirtless look in terms of sexiness. He also shared his opinion that presenting in his underwear displayed more class and sophistication.

“It’s just as sexy, but a little bit classier, and dare I say, more sophisticated?” said Skarsgard. “No offense, Mr. Efron.”

The Legend of Tarzan, which stars Margot Robbie as Jane and which was helmed by Harry Potter director David Yates, hits theaters July 1.
