Rapper Alexander “AE” Edwards gave an update on his relationship with pop singer Cher after Edwards fought fellow rapper Travis Scott at the Cannes Film Festival afterparty. Edwards, 38, claimed Cher, 78, wasn’t angry and had his back before referring to her as “my b—.”
“Like Future say, ‘Whatever I’m with, my b— with it, too,'” Edwards told TMZ, quoting “GTA” by rapper Future and Metro Boomin. Edwards corrected himself, saying, “My woman, but the lyrics are the lyrics.”
Edwards added that he and Cher were happy in their relationship, saying, “We’re a happy family.” Edwards declined to confirm if marriage was on the horizon for the couple.
After meeting at Paris Fashion Week in September, the two musicians have been in a romantic relationship since 2022. The couple was later photographed holding hands in public. Cher received criticism for the relationship, with critics citing the 40-year age difference. Cher defended herself and said the age gap was not an issue.
Edwards was in a previous relationship with television personality Amber Rose. The former couple have a child together. Rose praised Edwards’ relationship with Cher in March, saying it gave their son “stability.”
