Alex Rodriguez To Host TV Show ‘Back In The Game’

Former New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez, who had served a season-long suspension in 2014 for performance enhancing drugs, is set to host an upcoming TV show on CNBC.

The show’s working title is Back in the Game and the premise is to pair former athletes who are now in financial distress, with money-savvy mentors, in order to get them back on their feet.

After his suspended season, Rodriguez had returned, and finished his last season with 696 home runs. He does not plan on playing the 2017 season with the Yankees, yet is still owed $21 million as part of his 10-year, $275 million deal that he signed in 2007.

This will not be Rodriguez’s first appearance on television. The Yankees player had previously served as a FOX Sports analyst, working with Pete Rose, Frank Thomas and Kevin Burkhardt.

That stint had been received well, and if all goes smoothly, his upcoming role in Back in the Game will be another home run as well.
