Fresh off the release of his sci-fi romance I Am Number Four, Alex Pettyfer hit the red carpet again last night, this time for the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film Beastly.
In theaters March 4 and costarring Vanessa Hudgens, Mary-Kate Olsen and Neil Patrick Harris, the film centers around a handsome but superficial high schooler forced to learn the importance of inner beauty.
While a new movie is certainly cause for celebration, the British actor was understandably preoccupied, as news of a fire at his North Beverly Drive home was reported Thursday evening. Pettyfer posed for photos on the red carpet before leaving the event early to check out the scene, KCAL-TV reports. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the call was made at 5:40 p.m., with arriving firefighters spotting flames in the detached garage at 5:40 p.m. Those on the scene put the fire out within 20 minutes. No injuries were reported.
For Pettyfer, this all may be a welcomed—albeit troubling—distraction after the news of his breakup with Number Four costar Dianna Agron hit last week. The Glee star reportedly moved out from the home they shared earlier this month. —EMILY EXTON
