Alex Jones Ordered To Pay Nearly $1 Billion To Sandy Hook Shooting Victims’ Families For Defamation

Alex Jones’ Connecticut trial to determine damages he owes to victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings that he defamed has reached its conclusion.

The InfoWars host who continuously claimed these families were paid crisis actors falsifying the tragedies they went through, has been ordered to pay nearly $1 billion to the eight families named in the lawsuit.

The judgment is much more than the $50 million he was ordered to pay out to families in Texas who had filed another lawsuit.

Over the trial, several families have described how they were harassed by InfoWars fans after being targeted by Jones.

One plaintiff in the trial was even an FBI officer who was a first responder to the shooting that Jones targeted as well.

The jury awarded separate payout amounts to every plaintiff, with the value ranging from $28.8 million to as much as $100 million.

It’s believed that Jones registered his companies for bankruptcy to try and avoid responsibilities for paying out these damages, and he’s even been accused of falsifying tens of millions in debts to justify the bankruptcy filing.

He claimed that he can’t afford any judgement over $2 million in his first trial in Texas.

Jones will now be returning to Texas for a third and final trial filed against him by the parents of another Sandy Hook student killed in the shooting.
