Alec Baldwin’s Alleged Stalker Genevieve Sabourin Held In Contempt Of Court
Genevieve Sabourin, the Canadian woman accused of stalking Alec Baldwin, was held in contempt of court on Wednesday morning for her behavior in the New York City courtroom on Tuesday.
Sabourin had been scheduled to testify Wednesday to defend herself against the stalking charge following Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s earlier testimony. Now, she has been ordered to serve 30 days in jail and her chance to testify in her defense could be in jeopardy.

On Tuesday, the 30 Rock actor took the stand to both deny ever having a sexual relationship with Sabourin and to outline her ongoing stalking. While Baldwin teared up throughout his testimony, Sabourin pointed at him, shouting, “You’re lying.” Baldwin admitted that he had dinner with the Canadian actress after meeting through a mutual friend in 2010 but that it had ended there; Sabourin claims that they’re exes.

Baldwin suggested during his testimony that Sabourin made up the romance in her head and began harassing him with emails, texts and even visits to his home. She showed up at his New York residence last March while Baldwin had been proposing to his now-wife.
If found guilty of stalking when the trial resumes after she serves her 30 days, Sabourin could face up to a year in prison.
