Alec Baldwin played Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live again this week, resuming his usual role.
This time, the actor portrayed Trump alongside Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon, causing chaos around the world. The pair called up a few world leaders, starting wars with almost everyone.
Baldwin appeared during SNL’s cold open along with Bannon, dressed as the Grim Reaper. Bannon suggested Trump should call several world leaders like Malcolm Turnbull of Australia and Enrique Pena Nieto of Mexico.
To the Australian Prime Minister, the Trump character says, “No, no refugees. America first, Australia sucks, your reef is failing, prepare to go to war.”
“Steve,” Baldwin’s Trump says, “maybe I should stop?”
“Or maybe you should call Germany,” Bannon replies.
When he calls Germany, Baldwin’s Trump claimed that he was working on his memoir, which would be called “My Struggle.” He asked Kate McKinnon’s Angela Merkel what that would be called in German. (Answer: Mein Kampf.)
When McKinnon corrected Baldwin on the pronunciation of the German president’s name, he replied:
“Don’t correct me, I’m in charge now. Germany sucks, your wall failed, prepare to go to war.”
By the end of the sketch, it’s clear that Bannon is the real President in charge. He says “that’s enough fun for tonight,” and asks Trump for his desk back.
“Yes, of course, Mr. President,” Trumps says, as he retreats to a miniature desk and plays with a toy.
