Al Roker’s wife, Deborah Roberts, shared sweet photos of the family celebrating Christmas together following his release from the hospital last month.

The Today Show meteorologist said he was having a “tough slog” as he was in and out of the hospital since mid-November when he was first admitted for blood clots in his leg and lungs. He returned home for Thanksgiving but was hospitalized again at the end of the month.

Over the course of Roker’s rocky month, Today Show viewers expressed how much they missed seeing him on their televisions. He returned virtually to the show in early December.

Roberts’ recent post showed Roker and the family enjoying Christmas Day together. The couple, along with their three children and son-in-law, sat around at Christmas breakfast, decked out in matching green Peanuts pajamas.

The journalist went live on Saturday to update her followers on her husband’s condition.

“I just mostly wanted more than anything else wanted to say to all of you, I hope you have a good holiday weekend,” she started. “I want to thank you for all of your good wishes and warm thoughts and prayers, and just uplifting thoughts over the last few weeks. It has made such a difference.”

She continued that Roker is “looking stronger every day” and “trying to put on weight.”

Roker also took to Instagram to share the array of ham and sides the family was enjoying for Christmas dinner.
