Al Gore, 62, is vigorously denying allegations of sexual assault that were made by a massage therapist in Portland, Ore., who claimed the former vice president made unwanted sexual advances toward her four years ago.
"Further investigation into this matter will only benefit Mr. Gore," said Kalee Kreider, Gore’s spokesperson. "The Gores cannot comment on every defamatory, misleading and inaccurate story generated by tabloids. Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago. He stands by that denial."
Portland police said the matter wasn’t investigated further due to lack evidence. A local prosecutor said the woman was not willing to cooperate. The National Enquirer, which reportedly paid the woman for her story, broke the story a few weeks ago.
