Chief of the main Indonesian search-and-rescue agency, Bambang Soelistyo, said that they’ve found four large objects that they believe came from the missing aircraft. “I am confident these are parts of the missing AirAsia plane,” Soelistyo said. He indicated that the largest object was found on the bottom of the Java Sea floor, 90 feet down. It measures almost 60 feet long and 18 feet wide.

Thus far, the Indonesia search teams have also discovered 30 bodies of the 162 passengers and crewmembers who were aboard the plane when it crashed.

As long as weather permits, the National Search and Rescue Agency will continue to search for bodies and debris, focusing their efforts underwater.

Flight QZ8501 crashed into the Java Sea Sunday for reasons that are as of yet unclear. It had been traveling from Surabaya to Singapore when it fell off the radar.
