Former President Barack Obama provoked wild reactions from social media users after he made a joke about Donald Trump’s “weird obsession with crowd sizes.”

Obama made this comment about Trump on Tuesday during his speech at the Democratic National Convention.

“Here’s a 78-year-old billionaire who has not stopped whining about his problems since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago,” the 44th U.S. president stated on Tuesday. “It has been a constant stream of gripes and grievances that – that’s actually been getting worse now that he’s afraid of losing to Kamala. There’s the childish nicknames, the crazy conspiracy theories, this weird obsession with crowd sizes.”

While he said this, he drew his hands closer to suggest something small, which caused the DNC crowd to laugh uproariously.

X users speculated that Obama was mocking the size of Trump’s private parts through his words and hand gestures.

“Ummmm, check out what Obama does with his hands when he talks about Trump’s obsession with crowd sizes,” Justin Baragona, a columnist at Zeteo News, wrote on X.

“We all knew what that hand gesture meant @BarackObama,” former CNN host Don Lemon wrote in an X post on the same day. Lemon also included the hashtag “#tiny” to add to Obama’s alleged double meaning.

One user asked on X if Obama made “a size joke on stage at the [Democratic National Convention] with his hands. This ain’t the ‘When they go low, we go high’ party anymore,” he added, alluding to the catchphrase of the 44th U.S. president’s wife, Michelle Obama.

The feud between Obama and Trump has been going on for a decade after Trump questioned his citizenship. During a recent episode of the Smartless podcast, Obama stated that Trump is not perceived as a “serious guy” in the New York business world.
