Singer and choreographer DaniLeigh has professionally parted ways with mother Vicky Curiel as her manager. In an Instagram post, Dani simply wrote “Looking for an amazing manager. Hit my email.”

Curiel also shared a post about her decision to leave Dani’s team, Curiel wrote “I’ve taken this time to love myself, focus on myself, and reflecting on the fact that I’ve been living for others and not myself. Today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life, I come first.”

This split comes after DaniLeigh’s heated public dispute with rapper DaBaby, who has a 3-month-old daughter with the “Easy” singer. The argument was captured on Instagram Live, which DaBaby said he turned on to protect his “safety and reputation.” It ended in Dani being thrown out of his home along with their daughter.

After the event, DaBaby accused Dani of making “multiple threats and setting up [an] internet scheme,” in an Instagram post, causing a bitter back-and-forth between the two via social media posts and live streams.

Among other statements, Dani criticized DaBaby for promoting his upcoming album and tour in the same post. She wrote “Lame a–– using this situation to promote his EP/Tour… Literally putting the date on his ‘statement’ my God… My poor baby got a lameeeeeee for a father damn.”

DaniLeigh’s career breakthrough came at the age of 18 when she was asked by Prince to direct the music video for “Breakfast Can Wait.” She was later signed to Def Jam Records in 2017, having released several singles, mixtapes, and LPs up to now. DaniLeigh’s most recent EP, In My Feelings, is available to stream wherever you get your music.
