After Fleeing The U.S. After Trump’s Victory, Ellen DeGeneres Denies Rumors Her New U.K. Mansion Flooded

Former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has denied rumors that her new mansion in Cotswolds, England, flooded.

In late November, DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, moved to the United Kingdom in response to Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.

DeGeneres and de Rossi had been preparing to sell their Montecito, California, mansion to begin a new life in England.

They are not likely to return to America permanently. DeGeneres bought the property in England before the election. Sources told TMZ that they “scooped up” their mansion before “the election … but were ‘very disillusioned’ with Trump’s victory,” and they immediately chose “to get the hell out.”

Over the weekend, heavy rainfall and strong winds were brought by Storm Bert in areas like Cotswolds, England, which led to at least five deaths, while homes, roads and rail networks experienced massive disruption.

A clean-up is proceeding in several areas following the flooding in the wake of Storm Bert.

On Nov. 30, a Daily Mail report stated that rising waters consumed DeGeneres and de Rossi’s property in Cotswolds after torrential rain poured into the area.

On Dec. 1, the comedian went to Instagram to discuss the speculation about her farmhouse while also celebrating her and wife’s dating anniversary.

“Twenty years ago today we began this relationship not, realizing what a long beautiful adventure this would be,” she wrote on the platform.

“You are the best thing that ever happened in my life,” she added. “You take care of me. You help me see the good in everything. You help to guide me and pick me up when I feel off or down.”

“You are a beautiful soul that I am so very grateful to have as a partner to navigate this crazy life with,” DeGeneres stated. “My wife. My best friend. The love of my life. Thank you for being you and loving me. So happy we get to travel and explore the world together in the next 20 years, and looking forward to our first snowy Christmas.”

“P.S. for those of you concerned, our UK farmhouse did NOT flood,” she declared.
