Gisele Bundchen has responded to her husband Tom Brady‘s decision to return to football after a public fight about the issue.

Brady announced his return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March, 40 days after his short-lived retirement. He said he had “unfinished business” in his 23rd NFL season.

The couple have been married since 2009 and have had several arguments about his return to the NFL. Bundchen even left for Costa Rica recently to cool off.

Bundchen has been silent on this issue until her recent conversation with Elle. “Obviously, I have my concerns,” she said. “This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present.”

Although she clearly expressed her worries about Brady’s NFL return, she also added that he needs to follow his joy and should make a decision that works for him.

On September 11, Brady’s first game of the NFL season, Bundchen showed her support before kickoff on Twitter.

Brady is returning for at least one more NFL season with the Bucs and will be a free agent after the 2022 season if he decides to play again.
