Adele Wants Donald Trump To Stop Using Her Music During Campaign Rallies
Donald Trump has been using some of Adele‘s biggest hits during his campaign for president.
Adele is hitting back. “Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning,” said her rep to the Daily News.
Trump frequently plays her hits, “Skyfall” and “Rolling in the Deep” to rally up his audience before speaking.
This isn’t the first time that Trump has been asked and ordered not to use a song during his campaign. Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler’s attorney sent Trump a cease-and-desist on using the band’s hit, “Dream On.”
The cease-and-desist claimed that Trump does “not have our client’s permission to use ‘Dream On'” and that the use of the song “gives the false impression that he is connected with or endorses Mr. Trump’s presidential bid.”
Trump eventually stopped using the song.
