On Wednesday night, Adele guest starred on The Late Late Show with James Cordon. The two paired up for a 15-minute segment filled with rapping Nicki Minaj and the very popular, Carpool Karaoke.

The singer and host have known each other for the last seven years since first meeting at an airport. The interesting car ride was also full of revelations that might not everyone knows.

For one, Adele was behind the drum beats in her mega hit, “Hello.” “You are the female Phil Collins,” Corden added at the discovery.

Along with beating the drum, Adele told Cordon that she always identified with the Spice Girls – mostly Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell. “They were a huge moment in my life when they came out,” she admitted. “Girl power — five ordinary girls who did so well and got out. And I wanted to get out.” The former Spice Girl tweeted her with “Ah, Adele we love you” with a heart emoji.

While in the car of karaoke, Adele polished off her hits “Hello,” “Rolling in the Deep,” and “Someone Like You.” But one segment that got viewers in a hype was when the singer rapped Nicki Minaj’s “Monster,” complete with flair. The rapper herself even tweeted Adele to congratulate her on a good job. She tweeted “Pull thru, QUEEN!!!!! Adele Monster the attitude & fingers to match #Oh #Ok #Iconic.” The tweet was filled with emojis.

Adele even hinted at her next album. “One of the reasons I named my albums after my age… is they’re Polaroids of my life at the time,” she said. “I believe in trilogies. The next one will be ‘Adele.'”
