Adele pulled off a hilarious prank in a pre-taped segment for The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, in which she and the talk show host fooled a few Jamba Juice employees.
In the segment Adele walks up to the smoothie shop within a shopping center, while DeGeneres whispers instructions in her ear the whole time.
The talk show host even has an actress pose as Adele’s assistant Simone, who tells the employees to treat Adele like a “normal customer.”
Once Adele steps up to the register, DeGeneres has the singer asking the employees funny questions.
“I’ll take a Jamba Juice,” Adele tells a smiling employee, who asks her what size she’d like.
“Do you have an extra large or an extra small?” Adele asks.
“No, that’s our biggest one and that’s our smallest,” the employee answers.
“OK. I’ll have a large, but can I have it in a small cup?” Adele says. “I’m sorry, I’ve never been here before. In England we don’t have this.”
DeGeneres then instructs Adele to do a few outrageous things, like chopping off some wheatgrass on display and putting it in her mouth.
“I feel like a deer in a forest!” Adele jokes, as she makes a few weird deer noises while chewing.
The host later told the singer to pull out some things from her purse, revealing knives, Twizzlers pair of handcuffs, and a small bottle of liquor.
DeGeneres tells Adele to ask the employee if she could add a shot of the liquor to her drink, and when he says no, Adele and Simone share a few sips from the bottle themselves.
