Adele Pays Tribute To Prince As She Starts Her US Tour

Adele kicked off her highly anticipated U.S. tour in St. Paul, Minnesota where she paid tribute to the late music legend and Minnesota native Prince.

Adele opted for a video tribute on the main screen of her performance stage. Prince‘s 1994 hit “The Most Beautiful Girl In the World” was played in full.

She confessed that she did not feel she was up to the task of tackling a song by Prince. “I did maybe consider covering a song, but f*** it, it’s Prince,” she told the crowd.

Adele struggled to control her swearing at the concert but took the time to talk to her fans. The video can be seen below.

Prince died in his home on April 21 of this year. The cause of death was an overdose of the drug Fentanyl.
