In a brief interlude during her concert in Brisbane, Australia, on Saturday, pop singer Adele took time to inform the audience of her recent – and hushed – marriage to Simon Konecki.

While giving context to her song, “Someone Like You,” Adele, 28, dropped the news about her husband. “I was trying to remember how it was I felt at the beginning of the relationship that inspired that record, because as bad as a breakup can be, as bitter and horrible and messy as it can be, that feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth and I am addicted to that feeling,” she said to the crowd. “Obviously, I can’t go through with those feelings because I’m married now. I’ve found my next person.”

Adele and Konecki, 42, began dating in 2011. In 2012, the couple had a son, Angelo, who is now four years old.

During one of her many acceptance speeches at the 59th Grammy Awards, Adele thanked her husband for his support and love during the creation of her award winning album, 25. She also spoke passionately about her son, motherhood, and Beyoncé’s Lemonade – particularly its embodiment of powerful themes, including motherhood, feminism, and black pride.

“My manager, my husband, and my son, you’re the only reason I do it,” the singer said during her Grammys acceptance speech, the first time she hinted that she had married Konecki.

Adele is notoriously private and the exact date of the marriage is yet to be revealed. Her tour, titled “The Finale,” is almost complete. With only twelve shows left, five will be in Australia, three in New Zealand, and four in the U.K. All shows are sold out.
