Adam Sandler Pauses Show To Help An Audience Member With A Medical Emergency

At a comedy show on Wednesday, actor Adam Sandler paused his performance to make sure an audience member was okay.

In a video captured by a fan, Sandler pointed the medical personnel to the person from the stage.  He directed, “Okay, here we go – oh wait up guys, right down there. On the left. Let’s go.”

Medical staff made their way into the audience with a stretcher in tow. “Alright, let’s get there, y’all. Everything should be alright. Alright, alright, alright…. We’ll be a few minutes, guys,” Sandler said.

He told the crowd, “Let’s take a few seconds, we’ll just let these guys concentrate, alright? Love y’all.”

Once sure that the audience member had received the appropriate care he needed, Sandler said, “We’re all wishing you well there, youngster, feel better back there. Sorry about that… I hope everybody’s good, everybody’s alright. We’ll get going, we’ll start the show back up, alright?”

Sandler then prompted the crowd to cheer for the fan.

“Let’s give a round of applause for that dude, hope he feels better.”

The crowd applauded and Sandler continued “Alright, back to the f—in’ dumbness.”

Sandler is currently on his I Missed You tour, with 20 more stops scheduled around the United States. The tour kicked off last week in Vancouver and is slated to wrap up in December, with the last show in Denver, Colorado.

Sandler recently starred in the Netflix movie You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah alongside his wife, Jackie Sandler, and teen daughters Sunny, 14, and Sadie Sandler, 17. This film is Sandler’s highest-rated performance on Rotten Tomatoes to date.

In a September 2022 interview, Sandler talked about the ups and downs of parenthood.

“My wife and I go to sleep talking about the girls. They have so much ahead, and I feel nervous for them, excited for them,” he said. “As a parent, you just want to make sure your kids are okay when it’s time for them to take off. But teenagers are complicated. They’d rather spend time with friends than sitting at home with us all the time.”

Sandler’s next film, the animated musical Leo, is scheduled to hit Netflix on November 21.
