Adam Levine, who served as Christina Grimmie‘s mentor on The Voice, has offered to pay for her funeral following her tragic and untimely death.

Adam Levine Paying From Christina Grimmie’s Funeral

Grimmie’s brother Marcus Grimmie revealed Levine’s generous offer on Facebook Sunday. “I found out this morning, that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight,” Marcus wrote. “And I was blown away.”

Marcus also revealed that an impressive $100,000 (now over $150,000) had been raised on the GoFundMe page set up by Christina’s manager.

“I first heard from my sisters manager, Brian Teefey, that he will be making a gofundme to help our family move out of our current house and to take care of the funeral, and I figured why not, and I’m not about sharing that kind of stuff and I’m not a fan of handouts at all,” Marcus wrote. “Now a friend just told me to look at the gofundme page and I see it is at 100k. Words cannot express…literally I have no words.”

Marcus went on to emphasize that more than money, he and Christina’s other relatives would like to read messages posted by her fans.

“I promise both my parents and I will read every one of these personalized messages. I’m so blown away by everything right now. But all I can say is thank you. And Christina will be missed and never ever forgotten,” Marcus wrote. “Please do not feel the need to donate anything at all. Please. Just leave a kind word, message or picture in the comments.

Levine had first posted about Grimmie after learning that she was shot at a meet-in-greet in Orlando, Florida following a concert. At the time, the singer was fighting for her life in a local hospital. “I’m sad, shocked and confused,” Levine captioned a picture. “We love you so much Grimmie. We are all praying hard that you can pull through this…this just isn’t fair.”
