Adam Levine Blasts 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo'
Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice judge Adam Levine, 33, is not a fan of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, and he doesn't care who knows it. Levine had some harsh words for the parents of Alana Thompson, 7 — "Sugar Bear" and "Mama June" — accusing the popular reality series of contributing to the "Decay of Western Civilization.”
“That show is literally The. Worst. Thing. That’s. Ever. Happened. It’s complete f—ing ignorance and the most despicable way to treat your kids. F— those people,” Levine told GQ. "You can put that in the magazine: F— those idiots. They’re just the worst. Sorry, I’m so sensitive to that — like, I don’t know, man, it’s upsetting. Just to clarify, I said, “F— THOSE PEOPLE.”
Levine was giving an interview to GQ about what scares him more. For the record, Levine thinks waking up without a voice is scarier than waking up in Christina Aguilera’s body and that having moves like Jimmy Buffett, 65, is more terrifying than having moves like Dave Matthews, 45. “I totally support 'moves like Matthews'! His signature pigeon-toed shuffle is pretty badass. And I love Jimmy, but I guess if you called the shark-fin thing a dance move, that'd be pretty brutal.”
Levine is the latest reality TV star to come out against Honey Boo Boo and her reality show clan. Kris Jenner, 56, mother to the Kardashian sisters, who have their own reality show on E!, allegedly called Alana’s mother June Shannon, 33, “classless.” Of course, this was before it was reported by Star Magazine that Jenner wants to manage Alana and her family.
