Adam Levine Announces He’s Leaving ‘The Voice’

Adam Levine, lead singer of Maroon 5 and a coach in NBC’s hit show The Voice, has announced that he will no longer be a coach on the hit show.

Levine has been on the show since it first aired in the fall of 2012. He has won three times.

During the show, Levine had a memorable friendship with his co-star Blake Shelton. Gwen Stefani, Shelton’s girlfriend, will be taking his place on The Voice and will be competing against Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend for a chance to win on season 17. 

Levine says he’ll be spending his free time writing songs and touring with his band.
