It's a mad world for 'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert. While at a gay bar in Helsinki, Finland, Lambert got into a scuffle with his reality star boyfriend Sauli Koskinen, which eventually led to the pair's arrest — a few hours behind bars — Thursday afternoon, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Not long after his release from a Helsinki jail, Lambert tweeted that the fight was a result of the combination of jetlag and alcohol, and that in the sobering hours of the morning he has learned his lesson."Jetlag+Vodka=blackout. Us+blackout=irrational confusion. jail+guilt+press=lesson learned.Sauli+Adam+hangover burgers= laughing bout it. :)" he tweeted.

Lambert was in Finland to visit Koskinen, a winner of the Finnish version of Big Brother, for the holidays. Finnish beauty queen Sofia Ruusila, an ex-Miss Helsinki, who had been celebrating with them at DTM (Don’t Tell Mama), a famous Helsinki gay club, said she got hit as she was trying to come between the quarreling couple. After being kicked out of the club Lambert and Koskinen carried the fight outside, after which they were arrested at around 4 a.m. Thursday.

On Twitter again later, Lambert was apologetic about making a scene but denied reports that the fight had gotten physical. "Violence is not to be taken lightly. Embarrassed by drunkenness," he tweeted. "No punches thrown, no injuries and no charges. Media always exaggerates."
