Soap actor Tyler Christopher is claiming that his sister Susan Asmo Baker took advantage of him when she was put in charge of his finances.

Christopher was put under her care in January 2020 for 20 months after he developed a serious head injury after falling and hitting his head. He required life-saving surgery after suffering from internal bleeding. Due to the injury, Christopher was unable to take care of himself, so Baker was awarded temporary guardianship.

Christopher is now accusing Baker of using $40,000 of his money as her own for her financial needs. In court papers, Christopher claims that Baker received reimbursements that were improper for a MacBook that she bought for her son, credit card debt and moving costs.

In response to these allegations, Baker has hired a forensic accountant who will review her expenses from April.

In addition to this, Christopher has asserted he had no idea what was going on during that time and was unable to give input about his guardianship.

When he questioned his sister about the funds, she could not provide a straight answer for him, he told Bloomberg Law

Christopher and Baker’s relationship has been strained as they are feuding over the finances.

Christopher has also shared that he is in recovery after struggling with a relapse. He was arrested back in May for public intoxication when officers discovered him asleep at an airport in Hollywood. He was arrested and fined $250.

Christopher has been struggling with alcoholism for years and has lost his acting jobs in General Hospital and Days of Our Lives due to it. He played Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital and was replaced by Coltin Scott in July 1999. Additionally, he played Stefan DiMera on Days of Our Lives and was replaced by Brandon Barash in 2019.
