ACM Awards Recap: Miranda Lambert Takes Home Album Of The Year, Luke Bryan Named Entertainer Of The Year

Miranda Lambert picked up three American Country Music Awards and her husband, Blake Shelton, hosted the show with Entertainer of the Year champion Luke Bryan.

Miranda Lambert Wins Big At 2015 ACM Awards

Miranda Lambert may have lost Entertainer of the Year to Luke Bryan, but she was arguably the biggest star at the ACM Awards on Sunday. Lambert took home awards for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year, and performed a show-stopping medley of “Mama’s Broken Heart” and “Little Red Wagon.”

Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan took home two awards each, sharing one for Vocal Event of the Year. And Jason Aldean picked up the award for Male Vocalist of the Year.

Nick Jonas And Christina Aguilera Perform At ACM Awards

Of course, the true draw of the show was the performances, which featured more than one pop-country crossover. Nick Jonas appeared with Dan + Shay to perform a country-style medley of his hits “Jealous” and “Chains.” And Christina Aguilera, who recently guest starred on Nashville, continued on her Country kick by performing her Nashville track “Shotgun” followed by “Riot” with Rascal Flatts.

In honor of the fiftieth ACM Awards, seven Country artists also received the Milestone Award for their contribution to Country music. Recipients ranged from Country legend George Strait, to former Country darling Taylor Swift.
