The 52nd annual Academy of Country Music Awards aired last night in Las Vegas, with Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley as hosts.
Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean were the night’s big winners, winning Female Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year, respectively. There were a few upsets along the way, including Thomas Rhett‘s win over both Aldean and Bentley for Male Vocalist of the Year.
The night mainly featured woeful ballads, like Lambert’s “Tin Man,” but Lady Antebellum came in after their hiatus from music and livened up the show with their new single “You Look Good.”
In an interesting turn of events, the winner of Video of the Year was a medley called “Forever Country” that was put together by Shane McAnally for the 50th anniversary of the Country Music Association Awards, the more popular older brother to the ACM awards.
