Although authorities do not suspect foul play in late singer Aaron Carter‘s death on November 5, 2022, his mother is demanding a homicide investigation.

Jane Schneck, Carter’s mother, posted gruesome “death scene photos” of the bathroom in Carter’s home where the singer was found dead. The images showed dirty green water in the bathtub, towels and clothes thrown around the room and what appears to be feces on the floor.

It remains unclear when Schneck’s photos were taken and what evidence they provide.

In the Facebook post, Schneck explained that the coroner called the cause of Carter’s death an accidental drug overdose. She said, “They never investigated it as a possible crime scene because of his addiction past.”

She then recalled potential homicide information that authorities ignored, including multiple death threats made against Carter over the years.

In other Facebook posts, Schenck wrote that the police carelessly allowed people to “tromp through” the house, possibly destroying evidence.

Carter’s former fiancée, Melanie Martin, supported Schneck’s suggestion of a potential murder, telling TMZ that Carter was “being threatened” by a drug dealer the night that he died. She found text messages on his phone that said he owed $800 for an unknown substance.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said that the investigation is ongoing and the results of the autopsy are still undetermined.

Police found cans of compressed air and prescription pills in Carter’s bathroom and bedroom.

Soon after the initial investigation, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner Coroner’s office did not announce a cause of death for the 34-year-old, instead requesting additional information, including the autopsy, to make an official judgment.
