Aaron Carter Accused Of Racism At Concert, Defends Himself On Twitter

Aaron Carter‘s opening act Ill State accused the singer of being racist at a recent local concert, after an altercation that left Carter in the hospital.

AARON CARTER DEFENDS HIMSELF AGAINST RACIST ACCUSATIONS

Carter was performing at a small venue in Illinois when a member of his opening act, Ill State, began behaving in a way he deemed disrespectful. In a situation reminiscent of a mosh pit, a man in front of the crowd shoved Carter, who fell backward. He then said, “Bye, Felipe,” in a play on the now-popular phrase “Bye, Felicia.”

Given the Hispanic background of Ill State, many considered Carter’s move to be delivered in a racist tone. The opener shared a video of the incident, in which they describe Carter’s actions as racist.

“While Carter was performing, one of the Ill State members was in the crowd at the front of the stage enjoying the show. As he was conversing with friends Carter decided to comment on the lack of attention to him. “While Carter was performing, one of the Ill State members was in the crowd at the front of the stage enjoying the show. As he was conversing with friends Carter decided to comment on the lack of attention to him,” read the description of the video. “Carter continued with a cocky attitude and continued it by telling him to leave and saying, “Bye Felipe.” Carter’s disrespectful and racist comment caused an up roar. Watch for yourself.”

It has been alleged that after the concert, the Ill State member attacked Carter and left him bloody and bruised. Carter took to Twitter to defend himself.

“I didn’t get beat up I got hit and pushed when I wasn’t looking and they ran out the club and I stood on the speakers waiting for them?” read one tweet. “And a 100% Mexican manager and she is basically my adopted mom. And my ex girlfriend Myra 3rd generation Mexican,” said another.

“I also learned Spanish so I could speak with her parents who weren’t fluent in English,” he continued to rant. “See for yourself. Y’all ain’t gonna paint a picture about me that’s not true ANYMORE. EVERYONE tried regardless the topic or subject.”
