Jeremy London, known for acting in Mallrats and 7th Heaven, has been arrested in Mississippi on charges of domestic violence.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that the actor was arrested following a fight with his wife, Juliet London (née Reeves). London was released from custody on Friday night after being arrested earlier that day, paying his $2,500 bond.
“Earlier today, authorities in Jackson County, Mississippi intervened in a private marital matter, resulting in the arrest of Jeremy London on a misdemeanor charge,” said London’s representative Dominic Friesen to Page Six. “[It was] standard protocol in an attempt to diffuse an emotionally-charged situation.”
London, 45, and Reeves have been married since 2014 and share a 3-year-old son named Wyatt. “An isolated incident, today’s events will be addressed privately by Jeremy and Juliet London and will be used to guide their decisions as a couple moving forward,” added Friesen.
This is the second domestic violence charge brought against London. He received the charge in 2012 when he was previously married to his 7th Heaven co-star Melissa Cunningham. He allegedly pulled her hair and hit her head, but the charges were dismissed the next year. They share a 10-year-old son named Lyrik and officially divorced in 2014.
