69-Year-Old Richard Gere & Wife Alejandra Welcome Baby Boy

Pretty Woman heartthrob Richard Gere is a dad again at 69 years old! After announcing that he and his wife Alejandra Silva, 35, were expecting earlier last year by posting a photo of the Dalai Lama blessing Silva’s belly, it was confirmed on Monday that Silva had given birth to a healthy baby boy.

A name and exact birthdate for the child has not yet been announced, but the mother and child are doing well. This is both Gere and Silva’s second child – Gere has a 19-year-old son from his marriage with actress and model Carey Lowell, and Silva shares a 6-year-old with her ex-husband Gavin Friedland.

Silva has been documenting her pregnancy via Instagram, but has yet to post about her new baby boy. Gere, who is not active on social media, also has not commented.

Gere is best known for his roles in classic films like Pretty Woman, Chicago and An Officer and a Gentlemen. Currently, he is set to star in the upcoming British drama MotherFatherSon. Gere was also previously married to supermodel Cindy Crawford.
