50 Cent, the “In da Club” rapper and sometime actor, was charged with domestic violence and four counts of vandalism on Monday after an alleged altercation with an ex-girlfriend on June 23.
Born Curtis Jackson, the entertainer is accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend and vandalizing her condo in Los Angeles, according to attorney Mike Feuer, reported CNN. Jackson allegedly began trashing the condo during the heated argument. When the woman sought refuge in the bathroom, Jackson reportedly kicked the door down before kicking her.
Jackson, who fathered a child with the woman he had dated for three years, caused over $7,000 worth of damage to her home, according to police. Among the damaged items were a television, chandeliers and furniture. When police arrived at the Toluca Lake condo on the date of the incident, Jackson had already left.
If convicted of all charges, Jackson could face up to five years behind bars and roughly $46,000 in fines.
