30 Rock's Jane Krakowski Has A Boy

Jane Krakowski, 42, who plays the hilarious Jenna Maroney on 30 Rock, has given birth to a bouncing baby boy on April 13, it was announced Thursday. Bennett, the first for Krakowski and fiancé Robert Godley, a designer, weighed in at 7 lbs., 12 oz. “Bennett is an amazing, healthy sweet boy and we are both just crazy in love with him,” Krakowski told People.

It’s been a big baby year for 30 Rock. Jake Donaghy and Avery Jessup welcomed their Canadian-born daughter. Tracy Jordan and his reality show star wife welcomed their first daughter. And Liz Lemon adopted a cat named Emily Dickinson. Off camera though, Bennet will be the second of three planned births from leading ladies at 30 Rock this year, following Elizabeth Banks’ son Felix in March, and Tina Fey’s announcement that she is five months pregnant with her second child.

Thursday night’s hour-long, 100th episode, featured a storyline where Jenna considered having a baby strictly for the P.R. attention; a continuation of the show's wink-at-the-camera style. Earlier this season, Fey’s character Liz Lemon held a pregnancy photo shoot on an episode just before Fey’s public announcement. –ANDREW BANKIN
