'24' Returns To Fox In May

Jack Bauer and Chloe will be getting back to work in 24: Live Another Day when the 12-episode miniseries airs its two-hour premiere May 5.

'24: Live Another Day' Premiering In May

Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub are among the many actors who've decided to return to the hit series four years after it aired its finale. Live Another Day, staying true to time, will pick up four years after the events in the final scene of the original 24.

Unlike the original, 24: Live Another Day won’t take place in the United States – but in London, where Bauer has been living in hiding. He gets pulled back into intelligence work when he unearths some information that foretells something devastating.

Kiefer Sutherland Talks Filming 'Live Another Day'

While the show has its premiere date, it has yet to begin filming across the pond. Sutherland, for one, is incredibly excited for 24’s new chapter."I'm about as anxious and wound up as I've been in a long time," Sutherland said at the Television Critics Association meeting. "There's a great impetus for all of us to create something new with the show."

"Things will be blowing up — cars, double decker buses, things like that," Sutherland added, referring to the stunt scenes they’ll be filming. "I'm sure we'll be hated by a large portion of London for snarling up their traffic here and there, and for that I apologize in advance."

Although 24: Live Another Day is only supposed to run for 12 episodes, Sutherland isn’t ruling out a more long-term reboot of the show – or a movie. "If this ends up rebooting the show or causing a film to be made, so be it," he said, adding, "The film is sort of an ongoing situation.”
