The 20th World Bodypainting Festival began in Austria on Friday, as artists and models from around the world showcase their talents, compete for the top prize, and take in their colleagues’ art.
The festival, which takes place in Klagenfurt, Austria, runs through Sunday and features a ton of events for the artists and fans.
While awards are given out all weekend for various achievements in the bodypainting arts, attendees are also treated to a host of musical acts and concerts. The entire event takes place on a festival ground named Bodypaint City.
Models there to get their body painted could potentially wait up to six hours in order for the masterpiece to be properly painted and preserved onto their skin.
This year’s event will see 60 artists from over 50 countries.
Earlier in the week, a bodypainting academy was offered to attendees.
