With all of the incredible television series, it’s hard to feel that each of the especially well-done shows can be recognized at the Emmy Awards.
The many snubs include Killing Eve, Modern Family and Twin Peaks: The Return.
Killing Eve is a BBC America drama, a network that has never seen a nomination in the drama category, that was overlooked aside for Sandra Oh‘s historic nomination as the first Asian actress to be nominated for best lead in a drama series. As for Modern Family, the sitcom has never been unrecognized by the academy since its start on ABC. However, HBO’s Barry, Netflix’s GLOW and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel were the newcomers who did receive nods for Outstanding Comedy Series.
The sequel to the cult-themed series Twin Peaks: The Return garnered several nods for writing, directing and sound design and six in the craft categories. Yet, it missed the nominations for best limited series and for actors including Kyle MacLachlan and Laura Dern.
