The Gwyneth Paltrow-owned Goop Mrkt store, the flagship store for her eponymous lifestyle brand, was robbed on Saturday, with merchandise stolen adding up to a cool $170,000, Entertainment Tonight reports.

The police are branding the incident “a grand larceny not a robbery,” adding that “upon arrival it was determined that three males entered the store, one used an unknown object to open a cabinet and removed jewelry from the location and fled the location.”

The theft was confirmed by a Goop spokesperson, though they did not elaborate on the particulars of the incident.

“There was an isolated incident Saturday afternoon involving a very limited number of items, which was reported to the NYPD,” the spokesperson said in a statement to ET. “While the store was crowded during one of our busiest days, thankfully the NYPD responded quickly, our customers and staff are safe, and we remain open for business with proper security precautions in place.”

Paltrow’s Goop brand has often been the subject of ridicule in the media, with detractors claiming it paints the actress as “elitist” and “out-of-touch.” Controversial moves from the site have included its recommendation of a $5,000 gold-plated juicer and the “conscious uncoupling” term it coined in describing Paltrow’s split from husband of ten years, Chris Martin.
