Musical group The Chainsmokers are under investigation after failing to follow social distancing precautions during the coronavirus pandemic.
On Saturday, The Chainsmokers held a concert in Southampton, New York. Footage was released form the concert that showed many not following CDC guidelines for the coronavirus.
A letter from the New York Commissioner of Health to the Supervisor of the Town of Southampton stated that there could be a “state department conducting an investigation.”
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) also took action. He tweeted, “Videos from a concert held in Southampton on Saturday show egregious social distancing violations. I am appalled. The Department of Health will conduct an investigation. We have no tolerance for the illegal & reckless endangerment of public health.”
