Billie Eilish & Family Granted Restraining Order Against Stalker

Billie Eilish, 18, and her parents, Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell, have been granted a temporary restraining order against stalker Prenell Rousseau. The judge in charge of the court case ordered that 24 year old Rousseau stay 200 yards away from Eilish and her family members. Rousseau must stop all contact effective immediately.

The next court hearing is scheduled for June 1. Eilish’s brother, Finneas O’Connell, is not listed on the restraining order.

Rousseau was arrested on May 5 after being caught trespassing on Eilish’s property, but was released the next day.

In legal documents, Elish says that Rousseau had showed up on her property seven times and five out of those seven, Rousseau was not wearing a mask. Eilish also stated that Rousseau exhibited “erratic behavior.” In the documents, Eilish said, “while we waited for security, Mr. Rousseau remained on our porch, sat down and began to read a book, while also continuing to engage in a periodic monologue. My father repeatedly asked him to leave, but he refused …”

Rousseau started showing up at Eilish’s house on May 4 where he went to her front door and rang the doorbell. Eilish’s father asked him why he was there through the Ring camera. Rousseau responded, “I think I might have the wrong house, but does Billie Eilish live here?” Even though Eilish’s father told him he had the wrong house, Rousseau did not leave. Security also tried to get rid of Rousseau, but he sat behind a wall as if preparing to spend the night there.

Currently, Eilish is practicing social distancing and following the stay at home order. However, she has been engaging with fans by giving at home performances and participating in television shows, such as Homefest: James Corden’s Late Late Show Special and iHeartRadio’s Living Room Concert for America.
