Helen Krout, 100-Year-Old Woman, Jumps Out Of Cake – Very Slowly

Helen Krout of Lancaster, Penn., celebrated her 100th birthday by jumping out of a cake. Admittedly, she doesn’t jump as much as emerge slowly, but it was a special moment for her either way. Krout lives in Garden Spot Village, a retirement community, and she wanted a big celebration for her landmark birthday. Her family timed it to coincide with the Village’s fifth annual bake-off so all the others residents and their families would be in attendance.

Krout was revealed as the cake came apart, wearing an Elton John-like sequined sparkly piano-themed jacket. Everyone singed Happy Birthday, and Krout wanted some cake.
