Today is National Best Friend Day and what better way to spend it than by recalling best friends from your favorite TV shows who are as awesome as yours?

Besties are great because they’re always there for us when we need them—and they always like our selfies! Here are the top ten best friends—in no particular order—from TV shows that might resemble you and your BFF.

1. J.D. and Turk (Zach Braff and Donald Faison)

Of course the hilarious duo, J.D. and Turk, from NBC/ABC’s Scrubs are on the list. Their bromance started when they were roommates in college, and still stayed strong during med school, and all their other adventures!

2. Cory and Shawn (Ben Savage and Rider Strong)

Cory and Shawn’s life-long friendship in ABC’s Boy Meets World was one of the best friendships in the 90s. These two troublemakers became friends in the sixth grade, and we got to see their friendship documented until they graduated college. No matter how much trouble they got into, these two were always there for each other. Does this sound like you and your BFF?

3. Abbi and Ilana  (Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer)

Even though Comedy Central’s Broad City only just came out last year, these New York City girls are a great example of BFF’s. These two always have each other’s back. Abbi even carried Ilana out of a restaurant when she got into anaphylactic shock. Have you ever had to carry your bestie out of a restaurant on your birthday?

4. Rory and Lane (Alexis Bledel and Keiko Agena)

Rory and Lane from The CW’s Gilmore Girls sweet friendship began in kindergarten when Lane offered to share her crayons. Rory and Lane were the perfect duo. They made each other CD mixes and told each other all their secrets.

5.  Toni, Maya, Lynn and Joan (Jill Marie Jones, Golden Brooks, Persia White and Tracee Ellis Ross)

Why have one best friend when you could have three? These gorgeous women from The CW’s Girlfriends on know the true meaning of friendship. From boyfriends, to new jobs, hairstyles, and fashion, these friends always gave each other the best advice.

6. Dwayne and Ron (Kadeem Hardison and Darryl Bell)

From freshman year of college, Dwayne and Ron from NBC’s The Cosby Show spin-off, A Different World were the best of friends. They even rented an apartment together during their junior year of college!

7. Monica, Phoebe, and Rachel (Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston)

The quirky trio from NBC’s Friends, Monica, Phoebe and Rachel always inspired each other to their best. There was no fight that could break their friendship!

8. Sherlock and John (Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman)

9. Michael and Dwight (Steve Carrell and Rainn Wilson)

Ok, so Michael and Dwight from NBC’s The Office were not the best of friends, but they had their moments that caused for some of the most hilarious scenes of the show!

10. Karen and Jack (Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes)

Last but not least, Karen and Jack from NBC’s Will & Grace. They might not have been the main characters of the show, but their friendship is noteworthy. Karen and Jack were each other’s rock through failed marriages and failed career choices.
