In a sit-down conversation with uInterview, actor Dylan Flashner shared behind-the-scenes insight on his new film Like Father Like Son. The film follows Flashner’s character Eli as he awaits his father’s execution and fights his own destructive tendencies, all the while attempting to free himself from his family’s generational brutality. Flashner explained to uInterview founder Erik Meers that his character’s relationship with his father, played by Dermot Mulroney: “I think early on in the film, we come to realize that Eli’s dad is not the nicest, sweetest person in the world, to say the least. And there’s this internal struggle throughout the film of ‘Is he like his father’ in terms of his tendencies to lash out and to do other things like that. I think the whole goal of Eli’s life is to be the opposite of his father, is to not be the serial killer that he is.” Like Father Like Son will be released in theaters on Jan. 31.
